About This Course

Our Adult Support and Protection course was created to provide up to date safeguarding training for the regulated Health and Social Care workforce.
This could be in a number of different settings i.e. in a patients’ own home, in a hospital setting, or in a residential care home. Here we consider what can be done to identify and protect vulnerable adults through looking at the current legislation and how we can apply this.
Our course covers a wide range of topics and we encourage attendees to consider ways in which they can protect vulnerable adults by looking at the current legislation, regulations, policies, procedures and how they apply to their organization.
After this course staff will:
  • Be able to identify if a client is at risk of being harmed/is being harmed
  • Know which actions to take if harm is suspected
  • Have an understanding of the legislation surrounding adults who may be at risk/lack capacity
