About This Course
Our Adult Support and Protection course was created to provide up to date safeguarding training for the regulated Health and Social Care workforce.
This could be in a number of different settings i.e. in a patients’ own home, in a hospital setting, or in a residential care home. Here we consider what can be done to identify and protect vulnerable adults through looking at the current legislation and how we can apply this.
Our course covers a wide range of topics and we encourage attendees to consider ways in which they can protect vulnerable adults by looking at the current legislation, regulations, policies, procedures and how they apply to their organization.
After this course staff will:
Be able to identify if a client is at risk of being harmed/is being harmed
Know which actions to take if harm is suspected
Have an understanding of the legislation surrounding adults who may be at risk/lack capacity
“I have done some training in this area before for these courses (manual handling), but this has been the best so far. I would like to say a big thank you to Lorraine for the best training I have ever received.”
Amy - Student
“Being new to the care sector, I was quite nervous going into my first training session. However the fantastic trainers quickly put my mind at ease and were happy to go explain and go over points again. 10/10!”
Colin - Student
“The training was very well demonstrated and we got lots of hands on experience practicing with the equipment and hoists. We all had a great laugh as well while training which made it very enjoyable and fun. “
